22nd Dunia Melayu Dunia Islam Convention

Alhamdulillah the 22nd Dunia Melayu Dunia Islam (DMDI) Convention went extremely well in Singapore from 20th to 23rd October 2024. DMDI is present in 23 countries. DMDI UK was represented by 4 delegates i.e. Dr Hamidi, Dr Nor Azian, Datuk Mastura Yazid and En Wan Emer Wan Mohd Khair-il Anuar.

DMDI UK proposed the implementation of online learning of Bahasa Melayu as a method to teach the language of Malays globally in particular and to others who wish to learn the language in general. Hopefully this online learning platform can be launched in 2025.

Dr Hamidi is also the president of Melayu UK. DMDI is a global network of Malays, and as the Malay diaspora in other countries, Melayu UK is connected to this network.
